Kika Ioannidou

Kika Ioannidou, born into a family of textile merchants, developed her love for garments from a very young age. She studied Fashion Design at the University of Manchester and went on to work at the Haute Couture house of Emmanuel and other fashion houses in London until setting up her company in 1986, Kiki Collection by Kika Ioannidou. She was the first qualified designer to create a full-fledged fashion house in Cyprus, and since then she has stamped the country’s fashion landscape with her indelible style and inimitable collections. Kika is a founding member of the Cyprus Fashion Association and the Cyprus Fashion Designers Association.

Kika’s work is characterized by a love for texture and patterns, and throughout the years she has mastered the art of application and embroidery, that playful incorporation of diverse textile surfaces that evolves in every one of her collections. Her exclusive pieces, which have been embraced by the public for their unique and highly personal style and her extraordinary attention to detail as well as her timeless taste, make her designs an example of excellent craftsmanship and tailoring.

Kika was voted Fashion Designer of the Year in 2008 by the readers of Madame Figaro Cyprus and was included in Fashion Insider’s Top 12 Women’s Spring/Summer 2010 Collections.
