Dora Fitikidi

Dora Fitikidou Schabel, artist, designer, President of the Cyprus Fashion Designers Association, business owner. Dora has been designing unique and custom made handbags for over ten years, under the brand name Dora Schabel, using construction techniques that she has developed herself and that have become her trademark, such as specialized stitching and bag joints with rings. Dora continues her design work for Fig Designers under the brand name Dora Fitikidi.

She attained her degree at Iowa State University in Film Production and Direction. After returning to Nicosia, Cyprus, Dora began her design career, selling products as unique as hand crafted dolls and hand crafted fish artworks. After beginning her own company, Dora Schabel Ltd., she progressed into becoming a world reknowned handbag designer, selling in 14 countries and specializing in exotic skins and hand created detailed work.

In 2009 Dora co-founded the company I.N. Cyprus Fashion Designs Ltd., operating in the United States and Europe under the trade name Fig Designers. The company operates two divisions, Fig Designers, providing retail and online sales on behalf of European designers, and Dora Fitikidi handbags. Dora continues to maintain her high quality and expert details for her unique handbag designs, while juggling the duties of a multi-faceted international fashion company.
