Cristina Counta

Cristina Counta
Cristina Counta, first and foremost a lover of art, has ventured into the world of fashion, leaving her Mechanical Engineering degree, through a series of experimentations and applications of art in objects such as hanging tapestries, carved ostrich eggs and beautifully knitted jumpers, inspired by Miro, Kandinsky, Klee and John Corbridge.
Trying to express her inner world as comprehensively as possible through art, she started studying silk painting in 2009, and through her first exhibition “Metamorphosis through silk,” she presented her gorgeous hand painted shawls, kaftans, & evening wear, embroidered with Swarovski crystals, colorful beads and sequins.
Cristina is committed to understanding art as a way of living, an expression of subconscious thought into the world of matter and in the possibility of wearing it with the awareness of the spirit involved.
